Water Analysis
The parameters to be monitored in the surface waters and the frequency of measurement shall be determined by the Ministry in conjunction with the relevant institutions and organizations. Physico-chemical and chemical parameters to be measured in the surface water are given in Annex-1 on the Monitoring of Surface Waters and Ground Waters Regulation. Analyzes of the parameters are made in accredited laboratories.
The collection, transport, preservation, storage and acceptance of samples are made according to TS EN ISO 5667, TS EN ISO 5667-6 and TS 6291 Standards and related legislation. The analysis of the physico-chemical and chemical parameters given in Annex-1 is carried out using national and internationally accepted standard methods. In our laboratory, all water samples such as surface waters, utility water and surface waters are taken by authorized sampling personnel and analyzed by authorized analysts.
In accordance with the Surface Water Quality Regulation, the quality classification for the surface waters is carried out by the Ministry in consideration of the evaluation schemes given in Annex-2 with the joint evaluation of the ecological and chemical conditions. The ecological condition is about biological, hydromorphological, chemical quality elements of specific pollutants. The purposes of surface water use are determined according to Table 2 in Annex-5.
