EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) Reports

Environmental Impact Assessment is to be carried out in determining the positive and negative effects of the projects that are planned to be executed in environment friendly aspect, also the measures to be taken in order to prevent the negative effects or to reduce to the minimum wastage which will cause no damage to the environment and to analyze the project area along with technology alternatives, additionally, monitor and control the implementation of the projects.

For the activities listed in Annex I of the EIA Regulation, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report and the Project Description File (PTD) for the activities listed in Annex II must be prepared and submitted in electronic form.

No incentives, approvals, permits, construction and usage licenses can be issued for these projects, and the investment for the project cannot be started or tendered unless decisions are made for the projects that are subject to this Regulation as "Positive Environmental Impact Assessment" or "Environmental Impact Assessment Not Necessary".

For projects initiated without approval, a penalty of 2% of the project fee is applied. In addition, the activity is suspended until a positive decision is made.

These reports can only be prepared by organizations that have received the Proficiency Certificate from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
